315w cmh start to finish. Either spectrum.

No bulb swapping, no fucking around.

Its a nice compromise between the stronger hotter hps lamps and the lack of consistent info on the LEDs. They are changing so fast.

315w bulb and ballast run 345-365w
50w for a 6 inch fan.
50w for 2 x circ fans.

Under 500w for the whole tent.
9 kw\hr for 18hr cycle

Punch on a 2nd light for flower for a killer 630w setup and only just go above the veg kw\hr

I love em. Good for inexperienced growers. Just gotta worry about height and don't have to touch it.

Cheaper ones start from $200 I guess. Decent ones can start from under $400

Works well for me and the way I grow and I looked at LEDs recently but they are hard to justify for me as a standalone light verses the 315 for the money.

I pay 20c per kw\hr

Not sure why ya bringing mars into this.
Thats the whole point of led is using half the watts.
Compare watts if ya like.
Could ya grow the buds in the pics i put up with 780 watts of hid??

Thats killer buds
780 in the 2.4x1.2?
How many light sources?

Maybe it's the magician, and not the wand, em, led I mean

bit of difference in 100 w of led compared to 250 w of hid.
bigger footprint with the hid and way faster growth saving time.
i got the spider farmer that uses 100w ,not impressed ,,I realised I’d have to take the extra veg time into consideration for timing a grow.Or buy a stronger led ,,maybe in the range of say 180 w to 200 w.

the 100w led is ok but just not as good as I hoped ,,I don’t think it would be equall to even 200 w of hid regardless of the claims I’ve heard

haven’t seen any grows getting 2 gpw from leds regardless of how long they were even vegged for.

still There are lots of variables especially with the strain you use.,,and other things too.

Im very tempted to try out a led that is close to using 600w at the wall and flowering with it for the summer
in my 1.2 tent ,,the room it’s in gets pretty hot as it is ,

what was your yield using 780 w led Porky ?
The yield from 780 watts was 844g from seed with a 4 week veg. 1.08gpw.
Yous all saw how small those plants were.
Ya got people doing 6 weeks veg from clones which we all know is far quicker than seed and getting 0.2gpw more using 400w per sq mtr.
I got nearly as good numbers with 268w per sq mtr with less veg time from seed.
Like I said I’m not better at growing than anyone else on here especially inside as I’ve have been doing it for 10months.
Fuck me I grow in soil which we all know is also the slowest medium to grow in.

Yeah mate 780w in that size. That’s only to flower as well.
I’m only using 520w to veg the space. 😂😂
Reckon ya could veg that space with 520w of hid carbs??

Fuck me I ain’t no magician I’m probably one of the laziest growers ya have seen.
I put em in dirt water em when they need it and do one lot of bending.
I use 1 fert from Bunnings for veg and canna 13/14 in flower. Ya can’t get any more basic than that.

Nah I’m blabbing about the lights used to grow the little plants.
Sorry PPY hero but that’s the best we suburbanites have to work with.
Shouldn’t you be trimming ya mouldy mass harvest.

I'm thinking this tent kit, because it comes with an exhaust fan etc. The light I will keep as a spare or sell on Facebook marketplace or something.

And this light that was linked in a few pages ago.

The new tent will become the flower tent, and my old tent will be the veg tent.

I've been running el cheapo growlush and no name fans for intake and exhaust so far, no problems.

But if any of them die, I'll replace with better brands money permitting.

If anyone has a link to a similar kit, with fan, filter etc, for around 400 bucks, I'll look at that instead. But most eBay kits seem to be cheaper, probably for a reason, than a build your own kit.

I think so. There are other kits on flea bay similar. But I think this one is the go, as I mostly want the 6 inch fan and filter along with the tent. The plan was a 2.4 x 1.2 x 2 but that is alot more on lighting and fans etc. See how I go with this first.

Yeah, will for sure. Not until tax time now apparently anyway. This ridiculous covid shit is fucking up alot plans I had. I had hoped the light in a couple of weeks, and the tent a fortnight later. But tax time is not far way really.

Thank you Gazza.

These plants have got a mix of 3100k +4200k 315w all way through.

I have used both spectrums start to finish with no mixing and can't say I noticed much.

Maybe 3100k faster in veg, maybe 4200k finish a tad faster.

If picking one, pick the 3100k Philips 930

The adjustawings 4200k outperforms the 942 Philips bulb on paper.
