Was watching Contagion, holy shit if that isn't almost exactly what's happening now
Only 2 differences ,first is that it start with a bat disease that some how combined with a pig virus, 2nd that it was Hong Kong as the origin point
WHO underestimated, countries had ppl spreading disease b4 they knew there was a problem
It also suggested that having live cultures all around maybe wasn't the best approach, containment was impossible it spread from these places
I'd expect the writers knew there stuff when writing script to be scientifically correct , the numbers they quote on infected infecting others is a lot higher than we are told about this disease more like each infected person could infect as many 6 ppl ,then they give it 6 more ,from one person after 2 rounds it's already got 36 , then 36 x 6 and so , the number from 1 becomes very large very quick
