One last update before I put them in the fridge.
Still appears clean and contaminant free.
Mycelium has been growing well just sitting underneath my flood tables in a cardboard box.

My hypothesis that the Lizard King would be the fastest growing strain seems to be ringing pretty true so far.
You can just tell by looking at the syringes which ones will be the faster colonizers.

So if the grow room goes to shit we will know what's happened....GG is into the mushies again lmfao

It does not look too appealing .. and no need to worry about me getting stuck into mushies unless they are gourmet varieties lol

Seems like a bit of a money grab although it does look cool.

A more cost effective option would be one of those cheap greenhouse shelves with the plastic covers, chuck a small humidifier in setup to an inkbird humidity controller and some small fans for air exchange.

Okay well it seems like all the jars of cultures are doing great, mycelium has multiplied very fast since the day of inoculation.

Bad pics, hard to capture mycelium but there's an obvious difference in the amounts since I first injected.

Notice others have basically the same setup with the syringe filters after doing some research.

And some 3-4mm vinyl tubing, cut to about a cm to push onto the ends of the syringe filters, so they can be jammed into the lid grommet for a tight seal.

Use an 18 gauge needle for inoculating, and for collecting use a 16 to 14 gauge needle that's big enough to slurp up the mycelium.

Generic recipe for liquid culture online

• 1500 ml water
• 30ml of glucose syrup (corn syrup)
• 2.5 grams of peptone
• 3.7 grams of light malt extract

mix well on the stove, chuck it into the jars with lids tightened loosely.
Pressure cook for 15-20mins.

Tighten lids well when finished, wait to cool and shoot up

6 Jars were from Kmart were like $6.50
Injection port grommets 100x for $18
Syringe filters $15 for like 20

Syringes $20 for 80
100x needles $30.

Thats about it but need a pressure cooker to sterilize liquid culture and the strains to inject

Its gotta atleast get to 8-10 psi.

I've tried growing lions mane they are saprophytic mushrooms which feed on decaying hardwoods.
Hard to grow from scratch I reckon better off buying a bag I'd say.

Turkey tails are good ones too they reckon a mix of lions mane / turkey tails and magic mushroom is great for brain health

Lol maybe of I did those 3 I could make my mind up on things lmfao I. Probably gunna1pp get me a hydro setup n maybe another smaller tent for mushrooms idk how it works looked I to it a few times n have grown nushies before I just got pre done jars half contammed just had athougjt tho maybe thua wjere the second half I wase t dteril or notbignhust snapped tje spored into a jar of water n tjen ye I jected lol
