I had a bit of discussion with a local seed bank. They don't sell any autoflowering seeds, claiming they give shit results. I've not tried them (thanks again Mediseedman). Any truth in that?

I mean it really depends, there are so many variables. I've grown some autos from breeders like Mephisto, NightOwl and Short Stuff that can give a photo a run for its money (indoors). I've also seen some autos that would make some of Porky's (sorry mate :ROFLMAO:) midget "less successful" plants look like giants.

If you're basing that off those SS Stardawg autos from the comp then I wouldn't take that as a sign... there was something not right with those seeds I reckon... I've grown a couple of great HBD autos from SS but likewise a couple of their other strains have been very dissapointing and got kulled before flower :(

Like nugget said, definately not down to your lack of skill @Gazza. I wouldn't be suprised if someone with your growing prowess, given good genetics, could produce the first 4 lb auto! 😁

Okay, backslapping banter aside, the answer is "possibly". Fair enough, there are a lot of variables.

As an example of results some are getting using good genetics (in this case Mephisto) with varying mediums, pot sizes, lighting etc.

Just my 2 cents, i've actually had some better results from local xxl beans [lime daq, chemsis, gorilla shizz, blue amnesia, ect] over international big names
10-12 zips never outta realization, 80-90 days tops
Autos come a long way since wooly mammoths were having day spas in volcanos

far out. that is a big haul, almost makes me wanna try one of those autos.. but 127 days from seed is a lot of light..
Yeah, they're definately not the most economical to grow for the return you get that's for sure :(

I've grow them out of interest and ,initially, to see what all the hype was about. I'm still very much learning with autos. So far the best I've managed was from my last effort which yielded ~145g @ 90 days from seed of 18/6 (first week 20/4). That's in 20L fabric pot with a "coots style" mix. I did no topping or training as I wanted to see what they had out of the blocks. Drank only RO water for the main part with the odd bit of seamax fish+kelp used very occasionally.

So yeah not breaking any records, but they are fun to have around ;)

10-12 zips... is that from a single girl? I really should give your coco concoction a try, but growing in soil just makes me all 🤗

From what I've seen of the Lime Daqs and BMS, they look the business. BMS was Buzzo yeah? But who bred the Lime Daqs?

EDIT - I can't count :( Popped on 27/10/21, pulled on 25/01/22... 90 days
