Any overripe beefsteak/indeterminate tomato is good.I'm a bit of an old veggie gardener myself , and over the years have grown many different types , but in my opinion the mortgage lifter tomato has as good a taste as any
What is your fave
Black Russians it seemsWhat are the dark ones there?
Haven't grown many varieties but the grosse lisse are one of my faves to eat from an early age
They are called red and black , and ripen pretty much all black darker than the black Russian and the black Krim , the ones I grew didn't yield that greatWhat are the dark ones there?

Yes totally agree ,Any overripe beefsteak/indeterminate tomato is good.
I dislike determinate varieties like cherries.
I think I'm somewhat allergic to nightshades.Yes totally agree ,
The last four or five years I have been trialing seeds from the dwarf tomato project , they only grow to three or four feet and a little bit bushy with lots of laterals and they yield and yield and yield , only need staking to stop branches breaking from the weight of maturing tomatoes
Plenty of information and seeds on line
