Can anyone identify this please? I dug a couple out of a friends garden. It’s a small shrub/ground cover.

They said it was called snowflake, but that doesn’t match with what google brings up.

I’m curious to know if I can grow it from cuttings .

I did that with a mate when we were 16 and it somewhat worked much to my surprise. We scraped the inside of the skin out, baked it real low and slow and once dry smoked it. I got a weird cloudy feeling in my head and felt out of it, my mate ended up getting in a fight with a telegraph pole and claimed to not remember it. He was always a bit "off" mentally though.
