Think of Vince Gilligan's shows, breaking bad and better call Saul and even the current Plur1bus drags on and on for the first few seasons then picks up pretty quickly.

I am sensing a greater story in his new work, Pluribus. I think you're right on this one. Vince is one of the few directors I give the benefit of the doubt to and he never proves me wrong.

People have gotten used to ham-fisted plot exposition all in the first episode, they have been eating too much slop since BB and BCS. I think, like Vinces style, the first season was only meant to introduce us to the characters and their view/opinion on what to do. I don't want to spoil anything for others so I am being careful lol.
