Are these folks even following what's going on elsewhere?

Earlier this year in QLD there was a petition put forward, we're just waiting hear back about the outcome.

And NSW is currently conducting their owns trials of impairment.

I guess it's business as usual on the reform front, where everyone is off doing their own thing.

Does mediweed consumed by aussies get tested for contaminants etc ?

Not sure. But a majority of it gets hit with Gamma Rays, or other processes in an attempt to decontaminate it. It's not a choice by the companies, but their product must go through a decontamination process to meet TGA's regulations. And it seems Gamma Rays is the preferred choice with many of them. Sorta defeats the whole purpose of companies flogging the organic marketing pitch some of them roll with.

Personal opinion, the process they use dries the bud out too much for my liking, which in turn makes it easy to crumble and turn to dust. Anymore than 2 quarter turns with bud in a basic herb grinder tends to fuck it from my experience. Stick with your own homegrown, folks. It's generally a much better product. (y)

Police allege 51 greenhouses about 80m long each were found on the property, all containing the drug.

“These criminal syndicates have no regard for the workers or their living conditions, the environment or the wider harms illicit drugs cause to the community,” Detective Inspector Brad Phelps said. “Criminal syndicates are motivated by profit. These types of operations are linked to money laundering with profits sent offshore and used to fund other criminal activities.”
