I saw people had a thread discussing the lotus curing method already but also saw that vivosun have launched their Cannatrol competitor recently also. I don't think it's available in our market yet and I'm not an early adopter. Need to see it tested and how it compares. it looks sexc but expensive.

also I just built my own DIY Cannatrol based on this method: www.rollitup.org/t/thermoelectric-wine-cooler-drying-and-curing-diy.1088980/

are other people here also doing this sort of drying? It looks like this is the future. I saw this video explaining some recent studies on optimal conditions which is different from the repeated 60/60 method. this adds more nuance and focuses on VPD target which we all know and use for growing now so should be easy for drying also. this is the video:

My DIY build used the following:
Devanti 28 bottle thermoelectric wine cooler
Cheap 500ml dehumidifier off ebay
Tuya humidity/temperature relay

And like my grow I am going to control it via Home Assistant. Doing a dry run now and it is holding target range. I know this will change when its loaded with fresh flower of course. Methodology people use is to take the startying humidity once loaded and then drop it 2% each day which should take about 10 days for the ideal

The Vivosun Vcure is now available in our market. $1800 dollarydoos! crikey.

Starting to see some results of it in action:

Half the price of a Cannatrol. Also hear they have a new version in the works but no ETA.

Still think a $400 wine cooler, $40 dehumidifier and a $20 controller does a solid job

Oh damn it looks like it might have to connect to the cloud or phone home to work

Wasn't long ago he was Shilling for AC infinity.
Vcure looks nice but way too overpriced.

Posting this in this thread for those who may not have seen in my other grow diary one.

Here is data of my fridge setup over the past week. It shows the tightening up of the swings as the drying progresses. Unfortunately the controller failed at one point over night for unknown reasons. Had to reset in the morning. But didn't really cause an problem. Also do get occasional blips, but this is connected to the fridge controller and when it triggers the cooling mechanism. I could bypass that and run it all off my controller but haven't gone that far.
