I saw people had a thread discussing the lotus curing method already but also saw that vivosun have launched their Cannatrol competitor recently also. I don't think it's available in our market yet and I'm not an early adopter. Need to see it tested and how it compares. it looks sexc but expensive.
also I just built my own DIY Cannatrol based on this method: www.rollitup.org/t/thermoelectric-wine-cooler-drying-and-curing-diy.1088980/
are other people here also doing this sort of drying? It looks like this is the future. I saw this video explaining some recent studies on optimal conditions which is different from the repeated 60/60 method. this adds more nuance and focuses on VPD target which we all know and use for growing now so should be easy for drying also. this is the video:
My DIY build used the following:
Devanti 28 bottle thermoelectric wine cooler
Cheap 500ml dehumidifier off ebay
Tuya humidity/temperature relay
And like my grow I am going to control it via Home Assistant. Doing a dry run now and it is holding target range. I know this will change when its loaded with fresh flower of course. Methodology people use is to take the startying humidity once loaded and then drop it 2% each day which should take about 10 days for the ideal
