I'd go the centre table aswell. If he's on a budget and wants off the shelf have you looked at the Didgi Lumin Kwickbloom have? They use HPS ballasts to save on the cost of a driver so save a fair whack the driver being the most expensive component. 2 of these would crush 3mx1.4m and your getting a quality light for the price of a firefarmer. The dimming wouldn't be as good though

So I got 3 of the crxsunny 240w panels... cheap af.. $139 each...

They look nice.. nice smooth dimming... just hope they don't run toooo hot..
Hope they also enough for flower at 3 for a bench 3m x700mm.

If not enough... may get 3 x 300w Vevors... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1955558...z338m22RH6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Anyone tried them...?
Had a look at the vevor lights and they have a heap of blue and not much red at all compared to other lights, good for veg but not that great for flowering.
Hope the crx lights go well

Yea I have two 150w vevor lights and they do run super blue in spectrum. I reckon about 4500k overall spectrum. Spectrum in good for pics, that much I know.

I have seen people recommend 4000k-5000k from seedling to harvest. Plants would be pretty compact so that would be a bonus, at the expense of longer flower times. If I were to go down the DIY led build again i'd probably chuck a few 5000K 80 cri and 3000k 90 cri together, with a few 660nm reds and 410nm purples for flowering.
I've noticed the plants I've put under the crx lights produce way more visible resin compared to my diy led.
They reckon 410nm is just as good as 380nm at resin production and it doesn't stress the plants out heaps, way better on the eyes too

2 of my DIY have 4K 5K 3K and far reds this is the spectrum. They seem to stay tighter on the half of the tent that runs themScreenshot_20240528_221346_Chrome.jpg
