for reference I hope to grow around 4 plants 100 g each to 6 plants 50 g each for around 3-5 hundred g yield per grow. This is min and I wanna do more than this 🤣 hopefully 4 in 2 outside or 2 inside 2 out depending on time and space

Indoors I would say 1.3 to 1.4 grams per watt is pretty much the starting point, given that the strain being grown stacks well with minimal care or training implemented.

Being new to growing indoors I would not focus too much on yield to begin with, dialling in your environment is the most important thing which is kind of dismissed/overlooked/put on the back burner as a new grower.

If anything is out of whack (humidity and temp swings / vpd etc) it can have a negative effect on uptake or might lead to lockout etc.

Goonie mentioned above, and I think Gazza touched on it the other day but for the first run just work on enjoying yourself, staying away from outlandish techniques and getting to the finish. Don't worry too much about specific yields. Any home grown weed is a godsend at the end of the day and you don't want to set specific expectations to live up to and lose enthusiasm.

But if you do want to guestimate a given footprints yield, using the 30-40w/ft2 and 1-1.5g per watt will give you a ballpark estimate on whatever space you plan on filling whether it be a 3x3 or custom space once you get your bearings set.

Outside is a different ballgame. So many variables based on strain choice, day length at your location after the turn of the season, weather, soil/beds or pots and medium choice, IPM, accumulated DLI (sunlight over 24hrs) and what not. For example around SEQLD you'd be able to get aorund 7-9 weeks veg depending on strain before things move into flower based on day length, whereas up north the window is smaller. But even with that in mind I wouldn't be confident on putting a number on anything.

Im a 25 yr exp outdoor seq, a lot can go wrong, some yrs the cyclones hit mid bud and U get rewarded with main branches busted all over then especially mold related and drying that's another curse, last yr was fkd I put mine all into extracts, quite often you have to cut a bit early if it's storming for a wk effecting yield and quality, some yrs are different, but let's say your pretty happy with overall security side of things. started about now, I'd pull up to 100 to 150g off average sativa cross by mar april, double that if you started October and everything goes your way. Starting now I'd get those 100 litre type grow bags and nice airy medium, get some bamboo stakes as well.
