i also defol when i switch into flower, or the first few days into flower...and then again at week 3/4...is that too much stress ???Similar to vin but it depends on the strain too.
Sometimes I'll just crush the main and bend it down to the 2nd node if it's lanky.
Clones I'll top at around the 4th or 5th node.
Defol around the 3rd or 4th week of flower, just mostly big fan leaves that get in the way of things and strip 1/4 of the plant thinning out any,, bits at the bottom that don't get any light.
Don't have to be too heavy on the defol but it helps keep the humidity down and mould at bay![]()
In most cases I wouldn't think so.. but all plants react differently, some can deal with a lot of abuse while others might crack the shits and throw Hermie bits from the slightest environmental changes or other stresses.i also defol when i switch into flower, or the first few days into flower...and then again at week 3/4...is that too much stress ???

i've come to the realisation that tucking would do me better with the short veg times I usually run but fuck my ocd just cant handle leaves that aren't in a perfect state of posture haha. It drives me mad.I’m a big fan of leaving as many solar panels as you can, whilst allowing light penetration to the nodes. Tucking and folding is often better than straight trimming leaves, otherwise a good tidy up around the 3 week mark of flower seems to be the go.
