I am following an oil extraction method demonstrated on YouTube by Jeff Ditchfield. He uses an air still to recover a lot of the solvent he uses. I bought a Still Spirits air still to do the same. Unlike the still Jeff used, the Still Spirits model does not cut out as it gets near dry; hence the oil gets cooked on the bottom of the still. The timing is just too fiddly to get a good result. It does make nice vodka though.
So, if your setting up to do the same, Still Spirits air still is not the one to buy.
