In a small cup add
⅛ of a teaspoon of rooting powder
1 teaspoon of decent honey
Add either aloe juice or a tad of water to thin it out, a teaspoon or so should be good enough, mix well.

Prepare party cups of coco. Flush with boiling water and run tap water through until runoff is clean, squeeze excess water out and put aside.

Take your cuttings, the thicker main stem will take longer than the lower branches to strike roots, but will also be more developed with more branches when they have rooted.

Trim them up, take a few nodes off and then take some of the outer epidermal layer off the bottom where you've made the cut, dip the clone into the DIY cloning gel (I like to let mine sit in the gel for a minute).

Poke a hole in the coco, place cutting in the hole and then fill it, pat down so it is snug and doesn't move around, then chuck into a storage container. Place lid on top and leave under weak intensity lighting 24/0.

Atleast every 2-3 days take the lid off and fan fresh air over the clones and give them a good spray of water before placing the lid back on.

They'll strike in under 7 days if the cuts were taken from the lowers, or a bit longer if taken from the main stem.

In the colder months of the year you'll need a heat mat. Inkbird sell good ones with a thermostat which won't cook the cuttings.

That's the one I'm using. It's kind of expensive but its rigid and should last a long time compared to the brittle cheaper $8 ones from bunnings

if you ever wanted to buy a single liter bottle you can grab one from here https://www.aloeveraaustralia.com.au/product/1-litre-aloe-vera-raw-material/# not a NTS labeled product but the same thing imo , also wouldn't be surprised if NTS source the raw materials for there product from Aloe Australia

or if you want to have some whole leaf aloe vera that doesn't have a shelf life you can buy the freeze dried powder here https://www.aloeveraaustralia.com.au/product/100g-wholeleaf-aloe-powder-spray-dried/ , means you have to mix the juice yourself , 20g of powder will make one liter of aloe juice , the link above for a 100g bag will make 5 liters for $39 , shipping would also be a little cheaper i would think for a 100g bag Vs 5L liquid bottle

if you use Aloe with Kelp you pretty much have all the natural rooting hormones found in gels & powders , Kelp juice can be made easy with some kelp meal & water , the DIY is much better than seasol or any off the shelf kelp or seawwed product imo

last thing you can also take your cuts & put them straught into a glass of Aloe & water mix to soak for an hour before doing the next steps in your cloning process

Doesn't matter at all really. If you're going to top a plant and want clones rooted before flipping the mothers then go to 7-8 nodes, chop back to 4 or 5 nodes, the cutting will have some decent length to it and you can clean it up without worrying too much..

Or you can top early at 5 nodes, wait a while and take the first set of lower branches off upto week 2-3 of flower or whenever, the lowers I find strike quicker but it's good to have clones rooted earlier when pheno hunting the mothers I reckon

Should be as good as gold then. Just plain honey works good on its own due to its antibacterial properties, but rooting hormone makes them strike a bit quicker.

Just make sure you saturate the coco only once before you put them in they'll stay wet enough with the lid on the container, a fine mist every 2-3 days and only weak lighting, 20 watts is plenty
