Reckon they had to stop the press for these flaming hot stories
Well if they can afford a cannabis factory I'm sure they can afford to run a few carbon filters around the joint.

Seems super far fetched though.
Sometimes I think that my weed could potentially be smelled by the neighbours and passer by's but as soon as I walk outside I'm just hit by chimney smoke from surrounding houses, burning half green damp wood which smells like absolute shit. I guess I'm lucky 🤣

Headlines like that make you wonder if weed will ever be legalised here. My mate in hobart said there arnt any houses within a km of that factory and there rural acerage lots there and its off the side of a 4 lane highway that connects north to south. Plus who wouldn't want to live next to a weed factory would smell better then nag champa

I highly doubt it. Lots of greedy investors here like gina rhinehart are raking in too much money and they won't let anyone grow it simply because of that. Then they throw out all these disinfo articles about cannabis induced psychosis/schizophrenia and what not in hindsight to reinforce the idea of it being a schedule 8 substance which should only be grown by these private companies because its 'too dangerous' in the hands of homegrowers.

It's a joke, and I heard a while back that Thailand saw how "well" the system worked here and wanted to pretty much copy it but not sure how that went.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was actually considered a medication and subsidized like all other pharmaceuticals as it is "medical marijuana" but I'm sure they have some bullshit reason why it can't be subsidized and people needing to keep buying tubs of shit, possibly pgr weed for hundreds instead..

It's all about the money unfortunately

It shouldn't be considered a drug or medication it should be considered a plant with many healing benefits that anyone should have the right to. Just asked gemini when and why weed was made illegal the reasoning is outrageous

Why It Was Outlawed

  1. Racial Profiling & ScapegoatingIn the 1930s US, anti-cannabis campaigns deliberately exploited racial tensions. Harry Anslinger (head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics) and tabloid media linked cannabis use to Mexican immigrants, African American jazz musicians, and lower-income communities, claiming the plant caused violence and insanity. Using the Spanish term "marihuana" rather than cannabis was a conscious strategy to frame it as a foreign threat.
