Guy's I had to pickup some items from the post office today, they would not give it to me until I provided ID I never have before... is this odd?

Some hydro fans and the new pot setup... and a blinker switch for the ford

Also, show us the new pot setup when you get it set up @MM2K6! Interested to see what you got. I'm tossing up whether to try out some auto pots, auto drips or something else for my next run. Dwc is killer for growth but I want to run 3 possibly 4 plants next, and haven't decided yet if I can be fucked with making a rdwc, or managing multiple single bucket systems

Gotta weigh up the pros and cons. Id love to run dwc but I would guess the water would be way too hot in summer and way too cold in winter.. So theres more on top of the bill for cooling and heating water.

Roots look absolutely amazing when it's all going great like yours is but a tiny little problem always ends up snowballing into catastrophe.

The closest thing I have been to dwc was those hydro kratky / Dutch bucket kind of setup. So I had three plants in individual 2 stack bucket things with the top half filled with clay balls, pump would push water up and out of drip rings, gravity would help drain the water back to a reservoir.

That was my first grow and all of it was my brothers idea, he basically told me what to do and I'd just do it lol.

Things would go great until flower, sometimes I'd have roots completely blocking the drain pipes and the buckets would completely fill up and then overflow.

I found everything kind of went to shit as the whole setup was a breeding ground for anaerobic bacteria and pythium would wipe everything out around mid flower.

Then my bro would come in and try to pin it on me for being a lazy cunt when it was his trash setup which sucked ass lol

I've grown a static kratky. Had a solo cup with coco and melted 3 holes in the bottom with a lighter and one day I noticed there were roots coming out the bottom so I found a jar and fit it through the lip of the jar and filed the jar up with nutrient. Wasn't big maybe a meter high but did produce some dense buds.
Have always wanted to explore more of them type of proper hydroponics especially with the type of flower it produced

Yea I've been pushing the limit with high water temp myself honestly, running sterile res to try and avoid any issues, gotten away with it so far, can't justify a water cooler or running ac all day. Water as the growing medium, and being able to keep everything nice and tidy is another great pro, but automated coco seems a good compromise, almost as vigorous as dwc if it's dialed, but a little more forgiving and scalable. Plus trying out different styles is always fun
