has anyone in a high humidity area ever planted a few Peace lilies to reduce the humidity ?

they take moisture out of the air used in offices a lot for that reason so reduce humidity and everyone's looking for natural ways to do things.

English ivy can remove the airborne molds typically found in humid place maybe companion playing isn't a bad thing

Was just reading a short article that mentions a nasa study into the peace lilly and they mention it being able to remove two specific chemicals from the air, but it also mentions peace lillys adding humidity, which is what you'd assume as plants still need to transpire to move water through them

That article is a bit lacking in information, it seems the only definite one that will remove moisture from the air are epiphytes. also recycling stale air making it fresher doesn't necessarily equate to lower humidity levels in my opinion.
