'Opened by Australia Post' but still contained seeds

Hi there

About 3 weeks ago I ordered some seeds from Dope Seeds UK. They were all well concealed in a ***edited***.

Today they arrived but i had a big green notice on it informing me it has been inspected by ABF. The seeds were still all in there though.

When they do this kind of thing, and still send the seeds is it something to worry about?

I wondered.. maybe they either didn't see them OR they did see them, still sent them and are planning something?

lol yeah! I know its a weird thing to conceal it in.. Yeah it did have my home address but itsn ot like i am a dealer im only tryna help my old man out, who wants to grow a few plants as he is in such chronic leg pain... I guess if i were to get a knock at the door one day i may as well come clean and just tell them the truth right? Thanks for the reply

Bigger orders disappear often and rarely get followed up.

Do you reckon customs found the seeds? I would have thought that forwarding any imported seeds would be a breach of biosecurity.

If in QLD that is, and don't take this as gospel, but after my experience, if they found something they would've confiscated them (and the parcel) and passed the info onto QPS, it would be up to their dicreation to whether you get a visit or not in the next couple of weeks.

Keep in mind though, they shouldn't ping you for import breaches or the seeds. They would use the info provided (if name and addy checks out) to obtain a search warrant for that address. But seeing you got the seeds i'd be inclined to think you probably don't have too much to worry about. If you do have concerns, clear the joint out of anything canna related for the next 3 months.

Now there's two possible scenario's to why your package was checked. Either customs have flagged the sender's address and issued all parcels to be inspected from that address. Or, the scanners have detected a organic object/s (seeds), and had it set aside for internal inspection. To which, fortunately for you they didn't find anything.

So you got two options, clean up the joint and keep it that way for the next 3 months, or carry on with your intended plans.

Just be sure to use a safe address next time where you don't have canna anywhere. Also, QLD D's don't give a shit how much of a small time grower/smoker you are. They'll bust your arse all the same. Afterall, the have a "unofficial quota" (kill sheet) they gotta hit each month to justify their position.

Really helpful info there ^^ , so glad places like this exist with people having such knowledge . Yes I am in Queensland also. When I had a look at the ***edited**** which i opened very carefully... it seems they were clever to hide the seeds well and tape them to those foil covered patches. It seems they know what they're doing when it comes to concealing. It was from Dope Seeds UK. Thanks again folks!

Probably not the best idea to mention the way the company packs theres seeds etc.

Sounds like Dope seeds does have good stealth tho

Just hope that isn't the only technique or sender's address they're using because it'll only be a matter of time until Customs are onto it.
