Don't restrict your list of religions that oppress...many do sadly but it is not only religions that oppress.
Governments oppress, those in authority oppress etc
I'm glad to be a Christian and glad that I can have a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ as my saviour.
I don't need to be in a particular place to call on God or to have faith like at church etc. but see God's beauty and glory and amazing works everywhere.
