Thought I would throw up a quick couple of pics from my first grow, I chose hydroponics. This is about 8weeks progress, the girls are Auto Gelato!

You got a few close up pics of the under side of the leaves with the white spots on them?

It’s a blend of Coir, Vermiculite and premium potting mix. And yeah, the hydro set up self-fills so.. I just add my nutrients to the black balance tank

Nice setup. For clarification youre not actually running a hydro grow, as you are using soil in the medium. Hydro grows are totally soil -less by definition.

Yes true,
i guess when i went down the path to start growing, at the time i had germinated the seeds and didnt think i was going to run in to the issue of not being able to find Hydro media locally, Such as clay balls.
So i just decided to use a very small amount of soil and mostly Coir ect. the method is Pot-in-a-pot in a pot Apparently, there is very little media at all with a large air gap between the two internal pots

i guess its closer to DWC than Hydro? nonetheless they seem healthy

The left plant looks to be an photoperiod strain as its getting ready to re veg by the leafs or is it mutant ?
Guessing lights are on 18 hrs light?

hey, thanks for the comment!
i figured that there must be something going on here... i think your absolutely right in what your saying based on the small amount of research i have done.
would you suggest pruning these off to have the plant better focus it's energy on the main flowers? or let it go?
at about week4 the plant on the left was around double the size .

and yeah, to confirm the lights are 18/6

Looks like it has shit loads of rudearalis in it!!
Not spelled correctly obviously!!

Both plants look to be re vegging.
As plant on the right is throwing the 1 leaf / mutant looking leaf also. Its Showing a good sign of re veg cannabis plant.
I'd switch to 12/12 light schedule.
