Flap open thingy

Had an attempt to find a Random Pic Dump thread, but nothing surfaced my end. As it's hardly worthy of it's own thread.

Anyway, I had to make something out of necessity due to changing up the air flow of a Lung Room-Grow Tent setup, where i need to have a flap open that faces the door. I needed to shut down that boom of light you get when you opened the door, lol, she was pretty wild.

Just slapped together using 5mm-1/4" steel rod, welded up into a small frame. Then attach a thin bit of plywood using zip-ties, and as you can see there's some 3mm flat bar welded to the frame, so it slips under the tent, and with the weight of the tent holding it in place. Then it just a matter of draping the flap over the top of the frame. All up, it juts out about 125mm from the side tent, so it's footprint doesn't take up excessive floor space

But yeah, nothing special. Still has plenty of light leakage out the sides. But it does knock out the light intensity to something a lot more bearable. Does the job as intended.

Yes that is tidy good job .
I use a 1 m length of ducting out on mine with a 90% curve. You still get a glow but not too much. I usually have a clip on fan on the inside to spread the fresh air around . one per tent which probably works the exhaust fan a bit .
