I'm actually surprised crack wasn't popular here. It's cheaper than coke, the UK has it, so how come there isn't a market for it here? The crack era started around the 80's, and it's not hard to make so you'd think the dealers would've taken the oppurtunity but I've never heard anyone talk about it here.

I've always put it down to geographical location. The UK is much closer to US and US is the major importer of cocaine from South & Central American producing nations. Here in Australia we are so close to Asia (if not in it) hence there has always been a lot more Heroin(TM) and amphetamines available, with most of the precursor chemicals for Meth coming direct from our largest trading partner the good old (according to ScuMo) PRC .

That's just my take on it.
