I’m not much of an edibles guy myself but the Mrs has to have some everyday so it’s nessesary to have a supply. She doesn’t smoke and I rarely take edibles and that works for me(at least she’s not cutting into my flower stash)
I have a lazy man’s way of making gummies I thought I’d share for those that want a quick hack way to make gummies (like when they’re just for the misso)
First I make oil using trim and scraps doing a Shake in a large mason style jar using isopropyl. I shake each batch for a few minutes, squeeze it all out( using a chux , flyscreen, cheese cloth or whatever is handy at the time. Tip all the iso back in the jar, put more trim in and repeat the process until all the trim is used. Then do a final filter with something decent like a coffee filter. I’ll then cook out all the iso on the stove in a glass bowl in a frypan full of water. I’ll get it down to a pretty thick consistency so the iso is all gone then add a tiny bit of vodka to thin it out a bit so it’s the consistency of a thick oil. (Oil will de carb in this process too) I’ll generally store my oil in a dropper jar and can do a few batches of gummies with one decent extract.
To make the gummies I simply heat up a small saucepan, throw in a large packet of red frogs or raspberries (I’ve found these to work best out of the variety of lollies I’ve tried) add just a small dash of water and melt it all down with a decent dash of canna oil stir well then I put them into magic butter gummy trays but you could set it in a glass tray if you don’t have gummy trays.

This is how i make my gummies. Notice all the sugar in the jar that has washed off them, i let dry over night then dust them with castor sugar so they dont stick together

Knowing my preference for micro doses, I can imagine I’d need a dropper to dose each gummy.

This way would work well for micro dose but you would have to do it repeatedly to get a higher dose also you don't know remotely what mg they are.
Sorry this is hard for me just eyeballing and hoping for the best I have recipe and I can deviate from it but still know mg dose of gummie.

Not true i can only eat 1 comfortably if i have 2 im absolutely done for, if you make tincture the conventional way you cant get it strong enough, to get enough product into the tincture your alcohol would be absorbed by all the material you need to put in and you would have none left, if you make a concentrate then make the tincture from that it becomes super super strong, i concentrate all the cannabonoids from about 10-12 0z of larf kiff and sugar leaves ( just a guess its usually about 35L container worth so could be more)and dump that into 1.5L of 95, and there that easy and quick to make kg's of them just eat a handfull if your tolerence is high, its not like youve been at it for 3 hours and made 50 you can literally make 100's in 10 min, and when you take them out they dont melt if left in a hot car or go mouldy, a kg of cola bottles or sour worms from wollies is about $11 my mate gives me the 95$ for 100 for 1.5 L
The iso for 5 L cost $50 the kiff and larf is a byproduct so we will call that $0 the 1.5L of tincture will make 30kg of gummies for a total of $480 or $16 dollars a kg. Thats why i gave up the conventional way a long time ago

Just to clarify..... You make dry ice/bubble hash first from your by-product & then infuse that into 1.5L of Iso to create the tincture used to pour over the gummies? Or are you using 1.5L of Polish rectified spirit to create the tincture? Where does the iso come into it?

@Rabbitlicker, I’d assume Hudo makes RSO traditionally then uses the oil for tincture. My understanding of his descriptions over time.
@danny357 i believe I can get better than eyeballing. 2gm of pure RSO into 150 gummy’s gets me close to equivalent of one Mighty capsule per gummy. The maths is tricky but a little experimenting confirms the dosing. Probably get 50-60gm from 6-8 “zips”

That’s my green ones, orange ones 4g, red ones 8g. Heavy users I direct to red.
If I get a tolerance I’m happy to eat more.
I use pharmaceutical grade oil most days too.
6ml of 10mg is more enjoyable than 2ml of 30mg, I assume the medicinal quantities are the same?

I’ve not really dabbled with extracts and edibles,I’ve always just loved my flower. Don’t mind the occasional firecracker especially for planes and and times i want to lower my heart rate too 2.5 bpm. I decarb 4g and mix with peanut butter a lay it on 4 biscuits. Im an edible lightweight,this nails me
I’ve got a bit of a backlog,and I’ve got about a pound and a half of bits and pieces of bud,and a new crop coming with more larf and trim. I’ve just bought some bubble hash bags and will give that a try in a month or two. Hopefully i will have some product that i can turn into gummies. Im interested in the dosing,so i can give some away and not have anybody in accident and emergency.

I agree i do different colours for different straights but I do for pajn and thc cbd cbg is more for medical then partying as I'm always in pain and don't get much sleep aswell.
I'll be giving Hudo way a go to how it goes when I need to make some more.
As there's always a different way to get
to the same destination.
