Exploring doses in edibles

It was the 2-minute soak that threw me. It doesn't seem enough.

EDIT: It seems like a very mild dose (Not that I'd be complaining about that, as long as there's consistency in it).

I might give it a go with some shop-bought gear.

I think 2 minutes relates to the process, starting with prepared tincture to drying?

Not doubting it works. I.e. medicates us.
I'd just question the taste.
I've made tinctures, and the taste was filthy. It's a really horrible burn. We couldn't stand the taste of tincture without plenty of bottles of bourbon and coke.

Coating a horrible taste with sugar seems to be just masking it. * Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down * 🤣

I'll stick with infused coconut oil for my taste preference.

For a shortcut method you can simply blend infused coconut oil into store bought lollies melted in the microwave with some added lecithin ( granular). Pour into moulds and re-form.

I think a very pleasant taste adds to the overall enjoyment. Much like nice tasting
flowers when smoked.

Erm... yeah mate.

You soak shop-bought gummies in tincture, then roll them in sugar? I can't see how that would work.
It works very very well , i get about around 7- 8 oz of sugar leaves and tiny nugs, get about 3 litres of iISO, soak and stir about 2 oz at a time for about 5 minutes, strain repeat till you have processed all the leaf, into the rice cooker to burn off the ISO, till your left with the oil, you can decarb before or like I do i put the pot from the rice cooker in the oven at 110c and watch the oil and when it stops bubbling rapidly it's decarbed, pull it out let the pot cool a bit and when it's still warm add 1 litre of 95% ethanol and stir till it's combined, that 1 litre will make about 20 kg of gummies,
So now you get a strainer, ive got a rack out of an old deep fryer so I can do 2 kg at a time put in a container to catch the tincture and pour it over them shake and let strain for a bit pour on a tray and let dry over night, try use somthing big enough to spread them thin otherwise the ones on the bottom will go very sticky because the ethanol will melt them because they have sat in for to long, then put em in a bag throw about 1/4 cup castor sugar in and mix up a bit to coat them, and fucken keep them away from kids, 1 gives me a light buzz and 2 smokes me, here is the you tube vid I learnt it off but I switched to the strainer and pour teck to speed it up. @VinDeezle has tried em

@Sun Ra, I was going to say I’m not a fan of coconut oil extract in gummies as they sweat in room temperatures. Mostly an issue for travel. The yellow batch has been frozen between layers of baking paper, a weeks worth per layer, with a small stash in the fridge for immediate use. I’d recommend concentrate or strong tincture. The chocolates are an excellent way and taste for edibles, but they’ll sweat/soften at room temp due to coconut oil. I’m teasing with the idea of larger size gummies, low - medium dose with powdered mushroom dust for micro to larger dose.
If you put your gummies in the fridge they will get sugar bloom. If you want a shelf stable gummies use platinum leaf gelatine soak your gelatine leaves in ice cold water while they are soaking put your tincture on the stove and reduce by a third don't add any water to your sugar as this what brings everything undone more wore of mould as well bring sugar to thread stage 110°c than add your tincture then add sunflower lecithin if you haven't already got in your tincture add gelatine make you squeeze all the excess water out then your flavouring and colouring now you will have self stable gummies.
Oh almost forgot you can do this with oil as well but make mix the shit out it or you will have one gummy with a little dose and another with a big dose.
The only time these will melt if you forget them in car

Help I have mad a few batches of oil and all worked well. I made a new batch of CBD . Did the decarb and blended the oil . The oil came out a dark green and Stinks so much like the raw weed. I had a mil down the throat and it burnt the fuck out of my throat. Rank
May be CBD needs a higher temp to decarb ? Any help would be great. thanks
If you leave any THC or CBD and CBG in longer with oil or tincture it will darker and weed taste will be stronger. I learnt the hard way I now strain it as soon my infusion is finished though three different size micron fillters and now clean and a nice light green infusion

When you make them from store bought gummies you can leave them in the car for days, i got sick of going to eat a gummie and finding a cow pat looking blob, so I started dosing the store bought ones, better Flavour, stability, looks its a win win

Many ways.
I make RSO, and originally due to laziness soak for months. Recipe calls for minutes but I like my method. Taste is very good, effect outstanding. My other half prefers my blend to prescription blends, which I suspect add artificial terpenes.
Never decarb, but I’d presume the rice cooker does that part.
It’s great hearing your methods and suggestions 👍

Yeah I don't decarb either if your oil is bubbling while the last bit of ISO is burning off that's the THCA oxidising into THC, I stick the pot out of the rice cooker in the oven @110C untill it stops rapidly bubbling because my cheap Kmart rice cooker gets to hot and starts to burn it if I put it on cook, and when it's on the warm setting it does t get hot enough to decarb it just Evans the ISO
