Whilst recently changing out a 600w hps bulb had a strange thing happen.
After letting system kool down a while.
I allways use an old sock or glove to change to avoid directly touching tube which was still warm.
Holding the threaded end with one hand i slid gloved hand along tube
( wanky oldfark).
Gas tube inside began to glow? With each wanking move it would glow?
Question should i stop wanking, oh i mean wtf causes gas tube inside bulb to glow?
Any s.e electrical wizz have any insight?
