Just returned from my holls in Barbados, where their was a recent attempt to legalize weed, PM at the time Liz Truzz, UK, declined the move siting bullshit
international agreements. as a plus she was very anti weed anyways, in return Barbados is now seeking independence from the UK ...
their are enough loopholes in the current Barbados's law to avoid any charges, simply declare yourself as a registered Rastafarian.
Why not Canada and Australia too....they are members of the UK's Commonwealth, as seen as individual states

Rastafarian is a religion and by law they're not allowed to discriminate on the grounds of religious belief.
In really basic terms Rastafarians smoke weed to be closer to their 'God'. Can you imagine the shitfight if you walked into a Catholic church and told them they could not break bread (body of Christ) or drink wine (Blood of Christ) because the law says cannibalism is illegal?

That is not the reason Barbados cut ties with the crown. They already had independence, and ended links with the British Monarchy long before Truss came into (brief) power... where do you come up with this shit?

From what I've been lead to believe. Rastafarian's have had that loophole for a few years now. Best part of a decade, iirc.
