Ive got 7EG’s Drunken Bastard but rather than trying to cross it with some lowryder or White widow.
I thought I would see whats about.
Would love to get some Auto Duck or something like that but Royal Queen don’t ship here.
Any suggestions ?

Ooo.. nice..!
That yours Billy ?
It has got that typical Hoona pllant shape hasn’t it… if it was topped a few times it would be way harder to spot..

Do they smell from a distance ?

Cus Im really looking for an auto that is hard to spot and hard to smell..

Yeah it certainly isnt big, didnt top it at all, but yes, pretty obvious what it is..

I dont notice any smelll, will let ya know if that changes in the coming weeks before it gets the chop.

Have you done any crossing if autos and photos before? From my experience a 50/50 cross will only create a fast flowering strain, and full auto genes require some back crossing to stabilise.

I crossed some BCN crit with kazakh ruderalis and didn't get any auto flowering varieties, and after another back cross to the ruderalis ended up with one that auto flowered out of the three that I tried.

Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in when it comes to solidifying auto genes.

I'd love to make myself some sativa dom autos from the Siberian ruderalis I picked up from Khalifa and the old Laos here.

Did you grow out any of the Auto ducks
Yeah. Wasn’t very impressed. Not a bad smoke but pretty poor yield and structure. Was a pretty shitty outdoor season though. Only got a couple of pics as they weren’t really worth it.

The way I “partially” understand it…
I would have to back-cross it 4or 5 times…. Just to solidify 1 or 2 traits like leaf shape and being auto….

I think 1st X you get 1/2-1/4 next X… a larger % then so on u til they all solid-ish…
But I would only be making selections from a dozen plants…

My lame attempt was back like six or so years ago back when I first started growing outdoors. In my infancy I just assumed I could pollen chuck from the male ruderalis onto the BCN crit fems I had and I'd get 50/50 autoflowers but it didn't quite work out the way my feeble mind expected.

I done an auto Duck from Dutch Passion a few years back the fucker started to flower at around 3 weeks then just kept growing producing nugs the size of peas and grew and grew till it filled the 4×4 to the brim without maturing I even turned the lights back to 12/12 after about 4 months just gave up

Photoperiod is dominant so first cross all F1 seeds will be photoperiod ,,,the auto is recessive.

Cross the F1 seeds and you will get F2 seeds that will be 25% auto ,,scrap the rest and only work with those autos,,which are now Auto dominant.

cross those seeds to get F3 seeds which will ALL be Autos..

Now you have autos but to get what you want quality wise you’ll need to continue with line breeding ,which can take many generations to fix the phenotypes you want.

you will need to work in numbers for the pheno hunts coz you can’t clone to backcross and you won’t know what the father brings to the table .

All above should be correct, and you will see that by using a Punnet Square,.

EDIT,,,,ignore this bit, think I was too stoned.

this bit I’m not 100% sure but should work .
And can save time.

As a side line to follow ,start selfing the best pheno that suits you
to fix traits .then continue line breeding with the best of the S1 seeds

Forget that last bit ..don’t know what I was thinking about selfing an auto…

though I suppose you could reverse a good pheno to use the pollen on a cross.
