Morning all from SE QLD. Hobby grower here. Currently running a Nepalese sativa and a Blimburn chemdog #4 12/12 from seed. Usually run autos but summer has me reducing lighting hours to control heat.

Quite surprised by the results running 12/12 from seed. Around day 60 from germ and roughly four weeks of flower.

Have two more Nepali at day 13 also under a 12/12 schedule from birth. A mate visits his misso in Nepal and brings back seeds from a hash farm there. Expect to see a few of these as I've got thousands of seeds.

Big advocate of the KISS method here. Running a 40:40:20 mix of yard soil, brunnings Coco and uxp pumice with 2tbsp "B-Green" organic 3:1:3 slow release at potting. Pretty much manages short veg and flower cycles on tap water.

Don't know how it would do with 6-8 weeks veg though..

Picked up two of these for $210 in total off kogan the other day. Not bad for 300w worth of lm281b with decent heatsinks. Thinking about running both boards in parallel off the one driver.

150w through 288 lm281b diodes seems a bit outrageous tbh.

They put out 1011umol/s (67500lux X 0.015 as I lack a par Meter, have rented one to get this equation) at 12" in a 2x2 from quick testing.

Sosen Driver, same as what Spider-farmer use. Just keep an eye on their temp. I've got a 1000w Sosen Driver and it gets incredibly hot whenever it's operating at 70% or higher. Though the ones you have are much lower wattage so they may not pose that sort of problem.

Bloody nice pick up all the same. (y)

The driver does get way hotter than the meanwells I have on the 240w boards. Ive had one in the 2x2 for a while and usually run it around 70% which gives me enough intensity for veg and good enough coverage.

I'll be running them both around 60-70% each in the 80x80 as well so it should be okay.

I was quite surprised how how the driver got at 100% considering it's only 150w.

You can move the driver outside the tent. Some red and black electrical wire and 2 wago clips allows you easily to move it in or out of grow space to help manage summer/winter temps.

Are they not dimmable? 150 watts through a 288 board is having a dip. Those diodes will get pretty hot too you may need to run a fan over the boards and drivers just for peace of mind.

Unless of course you do rig up both boards to 1 driver, better longevity less heat but only half the light obviously. Ive noticed most resellers limit the 288 boards to 120-130 watts.

They are dimmable. Ive ran one in a 2x2 at 50-70% or the last year or so on and off starting seedlings, but last run i set up another tent and tried to cover a 90x50 with one of these boards. It got very hot at full pelt. Like kinda worrying.

I'll either run both in the 80x80 at around 80%, or throw two boards onto one driver and set up another 90x50.. there seems to be a disproportionate amount of heat to light output going from 80-100% to the meanwell HLG drivers on the other boards..

For $105 I don't know why I'm even bringing this up to begin with.. worth it just for the parts at this stage.
