Hi all just joined up. Looks like a great forum. Been in the game for about 3 years. Just upgraded from HPS to a couple of Lumatek Zeus 600w in a 1.5x3x2m area. Looking forward to seeing the results in about 8 weeks. Cheers all.

Bit of a story to that. My local hydro shop got a delivery a couple of weeks ago and the delivery driver dropped it. Damaged the box, the casing and some of the fins on the condenser. Driver rang company, company said give it to him for nothing. He rang me, I went down to check it out (I'm a mechanic so I've got AC gassing equipment) damage was cosmetic so I got it for $500. Normally retail about $1700 give or take. Was using a Dimplex GDDE50E Dehumidifier which worked great but took up floor space. Love the Quest

The damage was only cosmetic, nothing was actually wrong with it, works perfectly. As far as I'm concerned I saved $1200. I don't begrudge someone making a reasonable profit when the opportunity presents. If it was me I would have stuck a sign on it for a $1000 and it still would have walked out the door. The man has saved me many thousands on consumables and equipment in the past. Some Hydro shops operate with about the same integrity as a used (Or new) car yard in Australia.
