Tidied em up a bit trying to tell difference between spring onion n bloody grass was a challenge

Have gone from struggling to get lettuce to germinate to having it literally everywhere haha

Went and had a squiz down at bunnings and got myself some fothergill heirloom punnets.

Bambino broccoli
Green King Broccoli
Baby Spinach
Dwarf cabbages
Mini / dwarf Cos lettuce.


Got some really decent sized broccoli so far considering they have been dwarf varieties and got some cauliflower heads going great too..

Have some old spring onions in one of the planters, seems like overnight black aphids have just turned up in plague proportions..

These Sip style planters are terrific. Highly recommend them you can really grow so much shit in them and it's so much easier than crawling around in the dirt.

Got more planters and some vegetables down at bunnings. Cannot believe how expensive shit is getting.. Anyway quite happy with the quality this time, just got off the truck by the looks.

Last time I paid for thrip infested, sickly looking vegetables.

Sprinkled a heap of chilli seeds on paper towel and cotton buds to try and get some to sprout artificially. Can be finicky things, only been a week but I am about 4 weeks behind. This weekend plan to sprinkle out a heap of tomato seeds in a tray until they are sprouts and then I might buy some sweet chilli seed or big long jalapeno and do the same.

Also brought some rare chilli seeds in Autumn that need to go out but haven't decided how I'd go about trying to germinate them. Straight in soil or in cotton buds or paper towel or GroDan cubes? Dunno yet will wait for all the personally collected seeds of chillis I have sprinkled to see if they germinate, even if I'm late I'll still get a decent crop will just have to keep the water up to them while they are small
