It starts off very slow. From memory it picks up a bit around season 3 but lots of drawn out scenes and cliffhangers

To be honest I am over Taylor Sheridan as a whole. He had a good thing, got too much money I guess and his quality walked off a cliff. Its a shame companies cant just let things die natural deaths now. Not saying anything negative about the show but I hated pretty much all of TS recent stuff except for 1 of the prequels, the one where they were travelling on a horse and cart, I really enjoyed that I thought it was really well done but then I guess he got way way more money and the quality went down.

How much you wanna bet somebody approached Taylor with a script about the main character and said "hey Taylor, read this, put your name on this project as a creator, do a few edits so we can say you're a writer and ill give you half the pay" . That's not even a joke either, that's probably how it went down! I haven't watched it yet. This was the only recent work he did that I liked, but the first season of 1923 was ok I guess:

Honestly feels like some kinda purgatory watching Jeremy Renner going around in circles and the Johnny Sins policeman scripts starting with either "Fuck Mikey" "Fucking Christ Mikey" "Mikey you've fucking done it this time" and ending with "FUCK!!!"

Its just the usual Taylor Sheridan goy slop milking scheme lol
