I'm thinking fir my fishing setup of getting a telescopic one so I can put in aback pack n tjen just bus it tje beaches here don't have waves I wonder of tjeres soen crock safe places I joined soen fishing groups inthink thisbpaudaybtho I'll just get like a hand lien n go down tje River n just catch nrelsease also gotta figure out how to gut them n stuff like thst n how imma get em home without it spoiling

7ft 2-5kg is what you would be after, targeting flathead, bream, tailor etc.

Should be able to fish free if you've got just a speck of aboriginal in your blood too. If not just be on the lookout for the fisheries officers and if they approach just cut your line lol

Saltwater crocodile is a poor name for this species. Estuarine crocodile would be more apt. It survives well in salt water, but needs to return to fresh regularly. Plenty of fatal human interactions with salties in fresh water environments.
A good jetty or wharf will feel safer

Looked into it just now in qld it says river fishing u dotn need a permit ineas just guna get Ken but fuck thst not paying 12 dolelrs a week or 40 dolelrs year fuck them guess it's time to start claiming then

Well there's a bit more to it than throwing a hand line out, fish numbers have depleted, you get assholes dragging the guts out of rivers and even recreational fishers keeping undersized fish too.

So you kinda have to put a bit of effort in especially in built up places. Cant just rock up whenever like you'd think puffing on a joint and expecting to catch shit, it will just piss you off, gotta make sure the tides and wind are in your favour or you'll end up wasting your time. Otherwise it's a pretty fun hobby, exploring is always cool and you get to see dolphins and other animals if lucky.

I've seen a few dolphins pods swimming up river, fairy penguins and eels etc. get a few bull sharks up and down the rock walls too
