Under canopy lighting

Only ever had 3 infestations of gnats. Two in DWC and just recently in a coco mix. Been fortunate to deal with them effectively on all three ocassions with method i mentioned previously. Initial hit with mosquito bits, followed up with a hydrogen peroxide for a couple weeks.

You guys might be right. The dunks/bits might be shit and it's actually the peroxide taking them out.

MOAR!
I'm interested in this under canopy lighting stuff.
Thinking I might try some LED battens from Bunnings, not a great deal of lumens but worth a shot if I've got enough and the combined wattage wouldn't add a great deal overall.

I got a ton of these mini chinesium bars I was Gunna eventually set up as as under canopy lighting when I decide to grow a real set of plants but lately I've been at 60-80cm max so penetration hasn't been much of an issue.

Would be nice if they came in 3000k with reds not 5000k with reds though. Got two 4 packs for like $75 a while back.

Any extra light you can provide underneath will equate to extra yield and more bud density where that light reaches. Having a suitable spectrum will contribute to the results and having light in a warm spectrum is more suitable than a cool spectrum when looking at non specific grow lights

Yeah3000k would be better, but the 5000k will still help to fill out the flowers👍

Jumping in here because I was thinking about this just now. I was looking at the AC Infinity Ionbeam S11 kit. It isn't cheap for only 30W power. For my setup I think it could be useful and 30w would be sufficient. Will investigate Aliexpress given the above suggestions. Main thing is I don't want to buy crappy diodes which are inefficient.

Ive got some genuine Samsung strips from digikey, $65 or so each for 60cm, Evo diodes with added 660 reds.

These look nice. Probably overkill for my tiny setup. I did decided to throw $30 on a set of two lights similar to what @Slash posted. 50w across two bars. Shitty diodes but might be OK. Will be good over winter for a bit of extra heat from below at the least.
