Heads up for east coasters. Alfred could be coming ashore somewhere between Fraser and Coffs. Should ruin a few indicas.
Worth watching especially Tuesday and Wednesday for an accurate forecast. It’s supposed to reverse and track west then. Currently “guessing” Cat 2 Byron Thursday morning 🙈
Ahh we need the rain.

shows more than one prediction algorithm which is nice. Some predictions as south as the border or Lismore for landing which is crazy.

Yep, 6-8 o’clock from the eye will be interesting.
It’s intriguing watching all the models start to concur.
Key is the Sat image. It’s a mess currently but forecast to re-intensify over next 24h. Sea temps support a cyclone all the way to Newcastle due to the east oz current.

Got fairly Blustery at times around the Wide Bay area in the last 36 hours, settled down now.. Was enough to get me to pull my finger out and finally go buy a 4kva generator. Thankfully wont need to fire it up just yet.

My thoughts too @Indy. Don’t know why but a small Honda seemed appealing last night. I can feel Alfred today, low clouds scooting North, ranges cloaked in clouds and moisture. The ACCESS model was 1st to suggest the crossing, here it’s suggesting 900+mm near Byron. All the models are going heavy rainfall northern NSW, poor Lismore. Rain scale on the bottom. @Sun Ra you might need to tie down loose objects 🤓

Toilet paper, milk,bread and bottled water...completely gone at Coles on G.C
Can't beleive the paranoia involved over a 5 day event

It only started because of some photo of a chinese woman with her entire apartment chockers with toilet paper rolls during chinas lockdown just before ours and every one went fuckin stupid, like its a locally made product world wide, its not imported, production is easily ramped up and demand doesn't fluctuate. There will never be a fuckin shortage apart from when idiots outstrip supply by panic buying

I just got home from the shops, it's fucked no bog roll, no meat no Baked beans etc. The meat get me you've got a fridge chokas with meat and is the power goes out for days, then you've got a fridge full of dog food. My mindset is I'm just fucking off somewhere untill the power comes back on. I'll just pick a small town un effected that's got cheap hotel and go there for a week. ATM we have 1 bog roll left between the 3 of us 😆
