Saw this in my local news today, those brave hero's in blue have saved the streets again with a record drug bust in my neighbourhood, many children's lives have been averted from a life of crime and marijuana dependency all those little old ladies will be breathing a sigh of relief. Everyone please take a moment to thank those who were involved in this heroic act.

Meanwhile in others news.. Townsville Police withdraw back to the Mundingburra Police Station after getting rammed by little snots in stolen cars, for the communitiy and their own safety..

With that i'm not intending to hang shit on the QPS, but to point out that the system is now effectively broken (in my opinion at least).

That's exactly right, the police do a great job 90% of the time and the other 10% is questionable. I would like to think that 50% of police in Australia find the marijuana laws as stoopid as most people do.

It's in SA. The former Liberal state govt went all out on canna. They increased the penalties, lessened legal quantities, in increased police powers where now a few outdoorys lands you in court, just senseless. I just wish the Greens could get enough votes to reverse the changes, at a minimum, back to what they were prior.

From my perspective living in QLD, very little has changed since Joh's days :(
I remember Joh and his staunch dictatorship back then, it was a bloody joke but back then the whole of qld was the retirement village for Australia and they loved it that way. Everyone used to say if you go to qld leave all your goodies at home, especially if you don't look like a local. Anyway I personally don't think it's as harsh as back then and I was booted out by the boys back then and nowadays it's nearly every man or his mate has a choof so all the oldies are not here to give us the demon weed speeches any more 🤣👍☮️.. but I'm not near any major city so that could play a part. Good old FNQ 🤣☮️ too bloody hot to care about stoners. 🤣🤣☮️

Yea South Australia has reefer madness, some kid shot some other kid a few years back turns out he had been smoking weed before he shot the kid dead so of course that was used in his defence and it turned out marijuana made him do it straight up reefer madness they probably even played that movie in court to show how bad the devil's lettuce is.

Yea, the shooter, Liam Humbles, shot Lewis McPherson in Warradale, back in 2012. He got a 24yr state sponsored holiday (in a cell). Humbles was a well known dealer/participant of ANY substance, but him and a mate had been smoking weed prior to the shooting, so it must be the weed. Vickie Chapman, the former state attorney general, jumped at the opportunity to demonize the 'Evil Weed' and the laws were changed. At the time Chapman paraded herself around like a peacock in full bloom when the changes came in.
