Ridonculous. Get some 1.5/2.5mm TPS and use that for training. Nice and weighty, bendable and plastic coated not to damage stems.

Edit - TPS is thermoplastic sheath, aka house mains wiring - I forget not everyone is a leccie.

I've haven't pissed around with LST, super cropping for the last 20 odd years, as i tend to believe it changes the plant from the growing stage to repairing itself, which usually is a 7-12day period before it reverts back to good growth again.

It's scrog screens nowadays, grow plant out to 8-12th node, tip it, repeat with other branches once they've got at least another 8 nodes to throw branches from. Fill the screen with growth then flip to 12/12 light cycle.
