Be sure to use skin protection too. Not sure about LEDs but exposure to CMH is not good.

pretty sure thats for single glass covered CMH lights?

CMH bulbs sold in AU have a double jacket of of glass to stop the harmful

UV-C Light, which causes eye n skin problems.

Organic lenses

Organic
, that is to say in plastic lenses, are today the most widely used lenses in eyewear optics. ... Very light and shock-resistant, these lenses can have a wide variety of tints and even untinted can offer 100% protection against UV rays.

...so pretty much any sunnies on the market :D, except from a hydro shop add 1000% mark up...

hmm ok, so no risk from constant exposure from double jacket CMH? What about LED?

LED produce tiny tiny amounts of UV, pretty much nothing to worry about.

from the limited research i have done any glass stops UV-B and UV-C,

but UV-A can pass right through, its UV-C ya got to worry about..

My understanding is sunnies will work jsut the same you jsut won't have the colour correction or whatever. So if you want to see deficiencies etc can get those to get a clear working vision.

Regardless should protect your eyes around all these lights all the time when working in there imo.

The UV used in LED's is almost always UV-A unless its a custom board where they may use UV-B or you spec UV-C through someone like Cutter.

And as Dotts says, UV-A is fine, UV-B in low doses is ok UV-C the not nice one (y)
