Yes... saw a doco on it couple days ago.
“Partial” HIV virus in there but it still fucks up being able to test for actual HIV now.... still trust em ?

It’s partial adeno virus,not hiv. Adeno viruses are not rare. The common cold might be a good example.

The vaccine that was being developed at UQ was binned back in 2020 as is was returning a false positive for HIV.

There is no actual HIV in UQ vaccine trial participants, but there are complications

Scientists knew there was a possibility the University of Queensland vaccine could cause trial participants to return a false-positive HIV test but they still felt it was worth proceeding. Until now.
