The UV spectrum is actually for increasing trichome production. Nothing to do with bugs (the UV is actually attractive to them). Thats why it is used on bug zappers, bring them in and then electrocute them.

I’ve been running a gla board for a few cycles in my old grow space and I’d rate them as good if not better than a hlg. In fact i recently purchased more.
I’ve got one of the new 420 boards running at 150w (240w is it’s max) I’m testing in my old space and 2 of the old style UV boards running at 200w each in my new 4x4 tent.
