Afternoon all,
I would like to apologise for being absent on the site for some time. I am not going to make any excuses, just life is very busy for me presently and my priorities have been elsewhere.
The problem with that is, inactive administration is the exact reason I created TSE! And it seems I am following the same path as its predecessor.
Today, that changes. I have held the reigns too tightly, so I am asking for some help from any users that have some spare time every so often to help keep the place on track and free from bullshit and arguments etc.
Sedge has been doing a wonderful job in my absence, but I have also hindered his abilities for too long. From today, he has increased permissions to deal with issues and help with member approvals/bans etc. The current back log is near 6,000, which means we have likely missed some good people (among the spam bot applicants) which of course is hindering the growth of what I consider a great little community.
A couple of members have reached out to me in the past, if you are still willing to help out, please shoot me a PM. I would like to appoint 2-3 more trusted moderators to help keep the place humming along and new members being added in as they apply. I only ask that members that apply are reasonably known on the site and are actually active or visit the site most days. It wont require too much work once we get through the back log.
