I use lost Coast plant therapy to prevent.
Get rid of - good luck. Hardest things to get rid of, so prevention is of utmost importance.
Predatory mites are a good way to get rid of them.

In between grows spray your grow area and everything in it with Abemactin. Then wipe everything down with water/wipes.

Don't spray Abemactin on any seed, plant or medium. It's toxic. It's just to reset your grow equipment in between grows.

the grow space def needs taking care of before your next run but if your grow space is in a shed & you need to walk through your garden to get to the shed your efforts in cleaning your room might only have a minor effect on possible re infestation , your IPM approach might need to be looked at from several angles

if your considering Abamectin usage you might wanna make sure you mask / suit up if your gunna be spraying that stuff round or at least do your own research on it before use

Had em recently, sprayed them with alcohol and water mix for about 5 days then 2 days of neem oil. Haven’t seen one for a while now. Fuckers are tough.

Neem oil leaves an unpleasant residual taste on cannabis.
Should not be used once flowering has commenced. Only suitable during veg

I am dealing with a small bunch on my clones, experimenting with isopropyl alcohol, baby shampoo and olive oil mixed in water and sprayed on the top and undersides of the plant.

Ive sprayed diluted alcohol on black aphids a while back which were infesting a lime tree out the back, killed them straight away.

I think most of the time they hitch a ride on unsuspecting victims i.e people dogs or cats.

They love a bunch of different plants so chances are they came from outside, know for a fact that they were on my outdoor plants, and the dogs must have bought them into my grow room..

It only takes 1 mite to get on a plant and then it's a downhill battle from there..
They can be both sexual and asexual when it comes to reproduction, they can reproduce without a male around if needed.
They are very resistant to pesticides too apparently.. so prevention is key with some kind of IPM (Integrated Pest Management) schedule, whether it be predator bugs, natural or synthetic repellents and pesticides.

I think the best thing to do for now is just let them go as you dont want to be smoking pesticides. Just harvest and wash your buds and clean everything down really well and maybe mortein bomb the room that the grow is in.
The red mortein bombs have some hormone inhibitors which will screw up their lifecycle.

Been using it for a few years when needed, and for me it does a better and cheaper job than predatory mites.

My first time rooting around with coco, been having the odd struggle. But now it appears i've got these little blighters to deal with. Are the Spider Mites, or something else. I'm guessing they're a sap-sucker of some sort?

Hmmm.. I think you might be on the money, @itchybro. After a bit of researching, it appears they might be of the Aphid family. Hopefully i can clean them up with neem oil.

Any other suggestions what hit them with?

How far along are you, @Indy? Pyrethrum might help, but it could take a few treatments if the issue is ongoing. If you're close to or already in flower, it’s a bit trickier. Pyrethrum does break down quickly, which is a plus, but that also means you might need multiple applications. If you're planning to flip soon, it might be better to try something else depending on how bad it is.

It appears i broke the golden rule of Dont bring plants in from outside into a indoor grow environment. Which introduced them to a couple of plants indoors. That pic is of a leaf off the main plant that introduced them to the room, but the other ones aren't too bad for now, but the do have some activity on them.

I think i should still have some pyrethrum here. I'll do a spot test on the worst plant and see how that goes.

Yep I know this one ive had to bring in my strawberries and pepper plants to protect em from the frost during the mornings
Just luckily they've both been treated

i'm an neem oil person but wouldn't hurt to use both neem & pyrethrum alternating , if in veg as @benn0 suggested
as to neem better to use neem oil not the econeem which is an extract of neem called Azadirachtin , just my preference

if you do use pure neem oil you'll need an emulsifier , aloe vera , soap nuts or potassium silicate will all boost plant health , of cause a bit of dish wash soap will also emulsify but will def not boost plant health though , you can buy a saponin powder from OGS which is whats in aloe & soap nuts that will emulsify an oil & help make it water soluble
if you see karanja oil around , i think dr greenthumb has it , it's very similar to neem oil , always good to not spray the same thing for pest prevention or control

the other thing to keep in mind is your use of nitrogen , using fertilizers higher in N will give you plenty of lovely green rapid growth but in doing so makes plant cell walls thin , making plants more attractive & easier for sap sucking pests to feed on them
