+1 for Pug. Screen printing wholesalers. You can use silkscreen, but silk is delicate. Printing mesh is nylon, much more hardy.

I've made a few hash screens and shakers for making drysift.
The first couple were old picture frames covered in screen printing mesh and they worked well, but a lot of work to process.
Then I automated the processes using an old oven rotisserie and a bucket with square holes cut in the wall. Those holes covered in mesh. It worked OK, but there was no housing around the tumbler drum, so the hash dust just floated in the air, DOH. My housecleaner/wife was less than happy.
The next incarnation was housed in a steel box, no floating hash dust then. "Happy wife, happy life" (or so they reckon:rolleyes:;))
The tumblers are great for getting the bulk crystals, then to refine I have a few shakers. My initial shakers were hand shakers. A cooking stock container with a screwtop lid. Cut a round hole in the lid, covering the hole with mesh, then shake the crystals thru the mesh. You can purchase different grades of mesh and make specific lids for each grade.
Again, I got pissed off with sitting there shaking and shaking and shaking, so I automated the process using an old air pump and a stainless steel tea strainer.

An issue with drysift is that it oxidises. To slow this process down I press the dust into blocks or as some people have called them 'Pucks'.

Hey Krazy,
You wanted some pics of the tumblers and here they are.
This first one I was given in pieces to repair. Repaired it, returned it to the owner, who went on an extended, all expenses paid holiday (in a jail cell). Before he departed he donated it back to me.

This was the 2nd incarnation, using the gearbox out of an old washing machine as the drive

And then here's a link on how I made the 3rd version, well, the 3rd completed version (There were a couple of others that fizzled in the planning/design stages.)
Each one of these has it's own pro's/con's

P.S. In a former post above I mention "I got pissed off with sitting there shaking and shaking and shaking, so I automated the process using an old air pump and a stainless steel tea strainer." If you click on that pic-dump link above and scroll up there's a clear pic of the device

To be honest Harry get a small camping/ bubblebag washing machine ,there not that expensive and you'll soon see the benefits.🤪
Happy to come over and show you.
Best to do it on the cooler days of the year.
Still plenty of time to get set up.🥸you only need 3 bags.few different mobs sell the washing machines and bags on line.
I use 20 l bunnos bucket and they fit perfect.
That's an option anyway✌️

I also looked at that dry sift machine. What put me off is that it only holds about 20-25 grams at a time. I reckon i woild wear out the motor with the amount I want to dry sift. Also have a washing machine and can wash 6-7 ounces at a time and that works great but I find dry sift makes better rosin than bubble hash.

I built one out of used carbon filter frame, storage tub and bbq rotiseri motor.
I only used it once or twice but didn't get good results. Left the thing turning for about 24hrs with good amount of dried flower and only got a tablespoon of hash out.
I think the cheap silk screen from amazon might have been the issue and I should have chopped up the buds into small pieces.

After the 24 hours spin the flower buds looked good, all loose material was knocked off and they came out smooth and solid little nugs.

I'm thinking of trying bubble bags now.

Dry ice sift would be best in my opinion, but I can't get the dry ice in my area. homemade dry ice shaker like - "Hash Master 5000" by BrassNwood from Grasscity forums is what I eventually want to have. Link HERE

i have bags and buckets.
thanks.
i’ll look into the washing machines though.
I used to use dry ice & a 72 Micron bag for processing all my old/leftover stuff. Yeah, a bit of a PITA to sit & shake the crap out of it, but quick, cheap & effective. A couple of Kg of dry ice goes a long way when you bite the bullet & just bang the whole lot out in one go.

I'm unable to get my hands on dry ice these days & bought one of those portable washing machines that I'm yet to use (I'm waiting on cooler weather) & follow Frenchie Cannoli's methods.

Take @Mellow oldfark up on his offer. The machine will only be about $200 & you already have everything else you need.

No-brainer.

Less than $100 for the machine, plus the cube mesh bag for the machine. You don’t need the largest pore bucket bag if you go the washing machine route. Save the work for the coldest day possible, plus AC, even blocks of ice in your work space.
Temp was one of the reasons I didn’t pursue dry sift, but I did see a set up with the tumbler in a chest freezer.
I got similar online $80
